This morning I sang as I drove to church, arriving in time to rehearse our congregational songs with our pianist, Hannah. Following this was the 10:30 meditation followed by the Sunday Service. I am the Song Leader, so lead the congregation in three songs each Sunday. Today I also read a Healing Inspiration (a spiritual motivating writing that I found in the Creative Thought magazine), followed by a Treatment (a positive form of prayer). I always enjoy taking part in the service, it's very uplifting and fulfilling.
After church we had a Pot Luck lunch, as we always do on the second Sunday of the month. As always there was a lot of very delicious and healthy food to eat. Tamara said she was taking her two wonderful children for a walk up at the dog park where I always take Reba. I had planned to go to the gym then home for a bit of blogging before having to run off to go out to dinner with my Mom, but hearing that others were going for a walk, I decided to postpone the gym until tomorrow and join the walkers. Reba was overjoyed to hear this... she was in the back of my truck as she often is.
Reba and I drove to the dog park where we met Tamara and her children, Bev, Rev.Dale & Hannah. It's been raining all week, but today is such a nice, warm, sunny day... just perfect for a walk. We walked out to the back of the park, into the trees and up along the creek. When we got to where the path comes to an end, someone had built a bit of a log bridge across the creek, so we all went across it. Well, except for Tamara's son, he decided to walk through the water, lost both his shoes, and had his mother & Rev. Dale chasing after them down the fast flowing creek. It was a bit of excitement that ended well and our walk continued along the other bank. It was so peaceful and beautiful! When we came back we had to cross at another place further down the stream as we didn't come to the same place we'd crossed earlier. Once across the creek and out of the trees we walked back across the large field that is the dog park, back to the parking lot.
It was truly a wonderful day and I think everyone enjoyed the walk as much as Reba & I did. I think it will be repeated again before the summer comes to an end. I took lots of photos and will add them in later. I have to run off in a few minutes to meet Mom and go for dinner, and I want to ask people in the photos if it's okay to put them on the internet (forgot to ask them when we were all out there, haha).

That does sound like a wonderful day, especially the part where the boy waded through the creek and lost his shoes!
Sounds like something I would have done as a boy.
