Friends, friendship, friendly, friendliness, unfriendly, friendless...

When I a kid, 12 years or less, I had a friend named Rita. On the wall of her parents home was a plaque I still remember today, done in several sparkling colors:

True friends, are like diamonds,
Precious but rare.
False friends, like autumn leaves,
Are found everywhere.

I may not have it exact, but pretty close, close enough for you to get the meaning.

Tonight I wrote a post on friendship, didn't like what I'd written, so got rid of it and started again. That time I published the post, but didn't feel good about what I'd written, so again I've gotten rid of it. Now I'm posting other people's writings. For today that will do.
