A Step On My Spiritual Walk

I'm currently re-reading a book I read more than 10 years ago. The Amazing Laws Of Cosmic Mind Power by Joseph Murphy, D.D., D.R.S., Ph. D., L.L.D. is a life changing book. This book, when new, actually cost only $2.45 in the US ($2.75 here in Canada), though I bought it second hand for $2.00 . It's copy write date is 1965, by Parker Publishing Company, Inc. of West Nyack, NY. The 17th printing ... December 1973.

This is a very Spiritual book and what it teaches will never be outdated. As long as there is life the lessons in this book will be current and vitally important. Though it's been this long that I've read this book, I have continued to learn and live these lessons through other sources, including my church. If you are not totally happy with your life, if you are not totally healthy in your mind and body, then this book is for you. I know that as much as I grow and change and improve my life, there will always be room for more, and I will always keep this book and re-read it from time to time, using the material Dr. Murphy shares with us to improve my life even more.

Other books by Dr. Murphy include:
- The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. I have this book too, somewhere in the house though I'm not sure at this moment just where. :o( It will turn up. :o)
- The Miracle of Mind Dynamics. I might have this one too, not sure.... I have a lot of really good books.

My copy of The Amazing Laws Of Cosmic Mind Power is falling apart. I have a large clip to hold all the pages together when I'm not reading it, and I carefully read page by page returning each to its proper spot in the book as I finish with it. I have decided to take it in to Staples and get it re-binded. I've done that with a couple weaving books and it doesn't cost all that much. For this book it is well worth th price as this is worth its weight in gold and I think it would be very difficult to replace.

If you are interested in learning more about who Dr. Joseph Murphy was, you can check out his biography, or see what Wikipedia has to say. Of course, you can also Google for more too.
