Manic Monday - Green

Just another MANIC MONDAY!!!
it's a fun day... la la laaa la dee dee dah...

.
Hi every one... welcome to my Manic Monday post. The word today is GREEN, one of my favorites. I'm not at home on my own computer so can't add the usual graphics, but am happy to be able to "reach out and touch you" from my sister's computer.
.
This weekend we have all been at Tofino on the Vancouver Island at my older brother's wedding. The lawns and forests over there sure are green! and the flowers are gorgeous in many beautiful colors and sizes. The wedding was awesome, on the beach at the Tin-Wis Resort about 3 km out of Tofino. Crazy people were actually surfing in the Pacific Ocean while the wedding was happening. The ceremony, dinner and dance were all wonderful. When we left family members were given the orchads that had been the centre pieces on the tables, orchads were in the bouquets and were the booteneirs and coursages. Trust me when I tell you... a lot of "green" was spent on the wedding, people travelling from all over the province to attend, the cost of the hotel rooms, all that kind of stuff. On the trip over the mountains, to and from Tofino, it was very curvy and twisty roads, so sitting in the back seet I did for a while feel a bit "green around the gills", but got over that soon enough.
.
Yesterday was Mothers Day. I gave my Mom a photo album with a 5x7 photo of lilacs (scroll down just a wee bit to Wordless Wednesday if you'd like to see the photo - it's the top one). Purple and white lalacs with lots of green leaves. I wrapped this not in paper, but, as I had done with the wedding gift, I put it into a cloth shopping bag so they can re-use this many times when shopping, and not use the plastic. I also gave a cloth shopping bag to each of my sisters. This was my gift to Mother Earth for her Mother's Day celebration. This is keeping with the Green movement to help create a healthier earth for future generations.
.
On Friday when we arrived in the lower mainland, my 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law immediately dashed off to "the greens" to golf for the afternoon, and again they did this early this morning before we head back home. Mom and I hit the mall, I with my "green" shopping bag and my credit card (left the green backs in the bank to pay off the card later).
We are about to have lunch, so sister Anne has run to the Green Grocers to get a few things... then we're soon off home. It's been a wonderful holiday for which many folks would be green with envy.

Today I will skip Mr. Linky as I don't have the page saved on sister's computer, or time to go get the link from Mo or anyone else. However, I do want you all to leave me a comment before you go... Thanks. I wish you all a wonderful day!!!
