On Thursday afternoon, after song rehearsal, I went to Goodlife Fitness for Women and signed up for a one year membership! I was weighed and measured (my request to have the measurements taken) and I got one of the gals to take pictures of me in my bra & panties (they cover more than many 2 piece bathing suits). Now I have all the "Before" info and such to look back on later. Now I want to make some "During" and "After" stats. After all this stuff was done I went and worked out. Warmed up on the recumbent bike, "circuit" weight trained, then did some on the treadmill. I would have liked to stay and do more, but had a Board Meeting to go to. I was later for the meeting as I stayed too long at the gym as it was.
The gym bag they gave me for signing up is very nice, though had a horrid smell to it when I first took it out of it's plastic bag. It's been airing out ever since so is not too bad now. By the time I use it, it should be okay. If not I will put some lavender into it that I have dried from last summer. That should help put a nice smell into it.
So today (Thursday) I went to visit Mom and I won't tell you the deliciously good "bad" things I ate, LOL.

thats not a nice smell sometimes from plastic things, its best you air it right out. I have a plastic crate thats never lost its 'funny' smell, worrying?

Ya, I am committed, Heather. I just hope I can stay committed to this commitment for a full year, haha.
Claire, so far I really do enjoy going to the gym and working out. Friendly, helpful people and a great feeling, physically and emotionally after I'm finished.
Other than the other gals in the change room at the time, no one will see the pictures, lol. Well, not yet anyway. Maybe some day when I've reached my goal I might show the before and afters.
I've never smelled anything plastic that was as gross as this gym bag. It was unbelievably strong... chemicals... YUCK! Now, after airing it, I can put my face into it and sniff, I can still smell some but very faintly now. Before I could smell it stronger than this from 3 or 4 feet away. I think it will be okay.
I'm glad you had a good laugh from Friday Funnies. I get a lot of silly jokes coming into my inbox, so have to share at least some of them, haha.
