A Wonderful Day!

And thus comes the end of a wonderful day.

As always, the start of "today" was part of my "yesterday". I'm always up well after midnight. So while I wrote my new poem last night before I went to bed, it really was written today :o) Did I loose you yet?

Today I got emails or e-cards from 3 of my 4 siblings as well as my Mom. I also got some from a few friends.... all wishing me a Happy Birthday! Two friends and I went out for a late lunch, to a pub that gives free chicken wings to people on their birthday, so we had a great "pig out" as well as a wonderful visit. They each gave me a beautiful card. Thank you Wildside for wishing me a Happy Birthday, too.

For a long time I worried about turning 50... wow, the big 5-0! Half a century!!! Well, now I never have to worry about that again. Been there, done that! "This too shall pass", they say, and it did.... today I turned 51.... sigh. My sister, M (we in the family actually do call her M... or Aunty M where applicable) told me one year ago today that "life begins at 50", or some silly such thing, lol, so any time now... Actually, I am blessed in that I don't look my age, nor do I tend to act it. At heart I am still a kid, and I plan to stay this way. Or maybe it's just that I am good at letting the "inner kid" out to play really often, haha. "we" have a good time together.
