Manic Monday & Alphabet Photo Challenge - "E"

Today, Morgen (a.k.a. Mo) at It's A Blog Eat Blog World, has given us the word fresh to post about and have some fun with for his Manic Monday Meme (or Challenge, if you prefer).

Alphabet Photo Challenge
originated at
Quilly's Pacific Paradise, and runs for the first 26 days of May. Each day you post photos that you took, that have to do with that days letter.

This hillside is excessively steep, yet I like the view of fresh foliage and fresh water.

I'm not up on my trees, but know this is a Pine, probably a Ponderosa Pine. This photo shows you the fresh growth of early spring, as well as a nice environment.

Another fresh view of the environment in which I live.

I am very blessed to live in this area of the world (the Okanagan Valley in BC, Canada).

I also am very blessed to have this great Kodak digital camera with a 10x optical zoom lens. For many people, the mega pixels is the important part of a camera. For me that is important, yet more important is having a good zoom lens on it. I love to be able to take the wide angle phots like this one, and even more I love to be able to zoom in for close shots like the ones of the Deer in yesterdays post.

To me, this is still Sunday night (though the clock says it's Monday), so I want to share one more photo with you. This is Rev. Dale Jukes of the Okanagan Centre for Positive Living. I took this photo during his Sunday Talk "Life Givers". Rev. Dale and the Centre are high on my list of Spiritual Enlightenment that I so enjoy. (Don't misunderstand and think I worship Rev. Dale as my leader... no where near that kind of thing. However, he is our main minister and I find his talks are usually very refreshing.)

Have a wonderful Manic Monday!!
Thanks for viewing my Alphabet Photo Challenge "E". Remember to come back tomorrow and see what I come up with for "F". Now that the Manic Monday word was Fresh, I guess that word is off the table for tomorrow. I'll have to come up with a fresh idea, lol.

That looks a beautiful place to live. You're lucky.
I've lived in cities for much of my life, but about 4 years ago moved to the edge of a National Park in the UK.
It's a whole different way of life. Magical.

LOL! I LOVE the way you combined E & Fresh! Wouldn't it have been GRAND though, if Manic Monday would have fallen on Tuesday and then you could have combined Fresh with "F"! Probly would have made life much easier... I'm just sayin... GOOD JOB!!!

Alice, I love your photos and your information on your camera... I have a 6x zoom and I'm thinking I need 10x. You're lucky to have a good pastor who talks about refreshing and interesting things! :D

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog and my second ever manic monday! I love your valley. It's beautiful!

I too love the smell of fresh cut hay... my parents live on some acreage that has hay and it is indeed a lovely smell.

Me too on the zoom feature. I picked my camera for the 10x zoom more than anything else.

What a lovely view!

I know what you mean about your camera, mine is a Canon S2 IS with a 12x zoom. It will do some macro too, but I'm about to pick up the macro lens!
