*** I Am Grateful ***

Hi.
I got 3 1/2 hours sleep last night and have been on the go all day. My head is buzzzzzing and I am having trouble thinking straight. I am sitting here in a daze, too tired to move to my bed. I don't want to go to sleep this early. I know that being this tired I am not likely to make it a nap, and will sleep all evening, maybe half the night, then be up at some ridiculous hour. Or maybe I'll sleep for 14 hours and get up at 8am... who knows. Reba won't want to go out now, but won't make it inside until I wake up. So here I sit, or so I think.... maybe I'll get up and go for another tea, maybe a snack... see if I can keep me awake for a bit longer... or go snooze and set the alarm to get me up in awhile, though I'd just keep hitting the snooze button if I'm still really out of it. Oh, decisions, decisions. Too hard to think when this tired. I had thought to fall asleep her in the recliner chair and yet here I still sit.

I'm grateful just to be.

When I return, whenever that may be, I'll give a bigger gratitude list. Oh ya, when I wake up I'll get to work on coming over to read Portrait of Words & Three Word Thursday posts. I look forward to reading what you have written.

I'M BAAACCCCKKKKK!

I slept for about 3 hours then got back up and have spent the rest of my evening reading stories on several blogs, written for both Portrait of Words and Quilly's Three Word Thursday, as well as writing replies to those who left kind comments for me on my POW post. I'll get to the TWT comments tomorrow, and to more blogs to do more reading.

Today, after getting to sleep about 4am, I woke at 7:30 to a ringing phone. I'd told a friend he could call me in the morning and that I'd be getting up at 8am. Man, I could have used that extra half hour. Oh well, life goes on.

Being Thursday, it was my day to go to my TOPS meeting, so I did. I 'released' 1.5 pounds since I weighed in 2 weeks ago. While I am happy with that I would be happier with a bigger number, though am telling myself that I likely gained muscle in that time so lost more than that 1.5 pounds in fat. After all, a square inch of muscle weighs more than a square inch of fat, or if you prefer, a pound of muscle takes up a lot less space on your body than a pound of fat does, and the muscle is healthy for you, unlike the fat. SOO, I tell myself this and there is a good chance it's true... either way, it's my story and I'm sticking to it. My legs are still sore, by the way, from the work out I gave myself at the pool on Tuesday. Not much compared to what they were, but the calf muscles really got a work out, and I was sore in the hip area too. While it's good to feel that you've done the work, pain shows you've over done, so for the next while, no more 30 minutes non-stop then another 10 minutes after a short rest type water walking for me... not until I build up to it. I had been doing 15 minutes, then the hot tub, then 15 more minutes, then on Tuesday because I had a friend to walk with I over did. So now I will do 20 minutes, the hot tub, then 15 more and work up more gradually. On Monday I plan to start with the Aqua Therapy group, so will not be doing the water walking. I had planned to walk Reba today, and maybe even get to the pool, and that didn't happen.

After the TOPS meeting, we had a special lunch for the induction of the new executive, and the celebration of the out going one, as well as celbration of the top loosers/winners of 2008. On my way to that, I stopped at the thrift store and partook of the $2 bag sale again. For that kind of deal I don't even try things on, just 'eyeball' them and if I think they'll fit and look good I throw them into the bag. If something doesn't fit, or when I shrink out of things, I take them back. It's rather like renting clothes instead of buying them, lol. I also include in each bag I buy, any cloth napkins of hankies they have that day... part of my commitment to use less paper. I also grab doilies if they're there. Having done a lot of crochet work in bygone years, I appreciate the work that goes into them, and it's nice to have them under some of the plants I have in my home.

After the lunchion, I went to the second hand book store. I was hoping to find a good used copy of A Course In Miracles, and they didn't have one. However, I did find a few other very interesting books, including some on birds, so picked them up. There was a very good, like new, copy of a book I've been wanting to buy at the book store at the Centre, and have had to keep putting it off as I wanted to catch up on some bills as well as buy books like The Passion Test needed for the course I'm taking. Priorities, you know. I wish I could think of the name of this book right now, though I can't and am not going to go get it from the bedroom just now. I was very happy to get it for $4 instead of something like $17 new. One of the books on parakeets is missing a few pages which I pointed out to her, and she gave it to me for free. It's a drag these pages are missing as they are on breeding, though there is still a great deal of good information in that book so I am grateful to have it.

So, my day was TOPS, shopping, TOPS, shopping, blogging, sleeping, blogging and will soon return to sleeping... after more blogging. Unfortunately, I didn't even get to day 1 of The Boundless Living Challenge. I must make sure to get there tomorrow. Also, I must give time to writing a speech and to The Passion Test homework tomorrow as well as get some walking in. Oh, this is making me even more tired.

- I am grateful for everything that happened in my life today.
- I am grateful for Spirit in Action through and as me.
- I am grateful for such awesome comments on my short stories today.
- I am grateful I can feel okay about cutting my gratitude list short tonight so I can go to bed.
- I am grateful I will have much to be grateful for tomorrow, as I do today, and that I will write a nice long list.

PS... forgot to tell you, I usually go visit Mom on Thursdays, though today I didn't. My eldest sister & her boyfriend are up from the coast for a couple days, and youngest brother is down from north of Edmonton Alberta, so Mom has lots to keep her busy this week. I won't be missed, and I have a lot on my plate that I had intended to do, so was just as happy to not go. I visited Mom last Thursday as well as Easter Sunday, so we are both okay. :o)
