Camera Critters & Alphabet Photo Challenge -- "D"

Camera Critters is a Sunday Meme/Challenge that is all about animals/critters. Each week we post a photo, or photos, of an animal, then link back to the Camera Critters web site. We also go see what others who are taking part have posted.

Alphabet Photo Challenge
originated at
Quilly's Pacific Paradise, and runs for the first 26 days of May. Each day you post photos that you took, that have to do with that days letter. Are you interested in viewing my earlier letters?

A nice Friday afternoon drive two days ago was a major bonus. Nice time with the friend that took me for the drive, and even better, photo ops. I have several to share with you over the next weeks, but for today... DEER!

This is a Mule Deer! Note the very large ears, much like those of a mule, and thus the name. I love the way "Mulie" was not even afraid. It would eat, then look up at me, then eat again. What beauty and grace!! Look at the gentleness in the eyes. I really feel blessed to have been able to "shoot" this deer, then watch it calmly walk away. I feel blessed to have "captured" its beauty to look back on in future, and also to be able to share with you wherever in this world you live. Some of these will be enlarged and printed, to hang on my wall for me to enjoy for years to come.

I hope you enjoyed my photos today, and that you will come back to see what I find to post for upcoming letters of the alphabet. I thank you for stopping by and I look forward to reading your comments.

Have an awesome week!

Goodnight, Deer!

Niiiiiiiiiiiiice!!! WOW! I live in the country and we have a family of deer that live in our backyard ... but we only see them on occasion. Usually traveling through my azaleas... *sigh* Ours are the typical little white tails ... I don't think I've ever SEEN a mule deer! THIS my dear (no pun intended) is what I call a GIFT! God blessed you well with this one! :)

WOW! Great shots of that deer!
I use to have a couple wonder into the yard from time to time but were too skittish to stick around for a photo shoot.

Ps. Like the new look :)

I saw a bunch of mule deer yesterday! Poor Hubby had to tell me what kind they were, though, 'cause I'm a city girl & don't know much. I got a big ol' kick of how they responded when he whistled @ them. :) Funny...my Poor Hubby named his truck "Mulie."
